Two sisters with a shared vision.
Julia and Libby are sisters hailing from New Zealand who believe food can be more than just tasty fuel, it can be medicine. They believe that beauty starts from within and that food can play a big part in how we feel. Their approach to health is connected to both their educational study of the subject and their personal belief in the lifestyle it creates.
With this in mind Julia and Libby try to inspire others, showing that healthy food can be both simple and delicious. They love to create easy to follow recipes, using whole food with minimal processing and full of nutrients to help you feel your best. There’s nothing the girls enjoy more than putting a twist on old classics or dreaming up new creations using some of their favourite foods. All recipes are free of refined sugar, and most are dairy free, gluten free and vegan. Their hope is that by making whole food eating simple and tasty, they can encourage others to see they’re not missing out by choosing to put their health first.
Libby has a Naturopathy Degree, which she received from Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in 2014. She currently lives in Minnesota, while Julia is living in New Zealand.
In 2016 the sisters released their first recipe book ‘Julia and Libby’s Wholefood Kitchen’ with Penguin Random House. This sold out almost immediately, showing that buyers were not only interested in the idea of bettering their health through food, they were ready to actively try it. The girls second self published cook book ‘Nourished’ was released in November 2017.
As well as spreading inspiration through recipes, Julia and Libby run Women’s Wellness events around New Zealand talking about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the ways they can manage their stress levels. In 2016 the girls toured around New Zealand with their sold out ‘Takes A Village’ events.
Julia and Libby’s work has also been featured in fashion brand Glasson’s magazine, The New Zealand Herald online, Stuff.co.nz, The Denizen, Remix Magazine, Good Health Magazine.. They collaborate with brands that have the same wellness vision, featuring in TV adverts for Only Good body wash and for 5+ A Day. Julia and Libby were cover girls for Good Health Magazine in March 2016 and May 2017, as well as proud ambassadors of Stirling Sports and 5+ A Day NZ. Other brands they have loved working with include Alison’s Pantry, Bosch, Expedia, Melbourne Tourism, Meadow Mushrooms, Shakti Mat, NZ Avocado, Healtheries, Karma Kola, Sanitarium, Hawaiian Airlines, Anchor, Hubbard’s and Manuka Doctor.
