Chocolate Banana thick shake

When we were young we used to love making homemade thick shakes after school. We would use ice cream, milk and chocolate or vanilla syrup. If we tried drinking this now, we would probably have a stomach ache for days. This chocolate banana thick shake is made using nourishing ingredients that wont leave you with a sugar rush after consuming. It is also a great way to start the day and can be made in under 5 minutes. Its so delicious, its almost on the verge of being pudding, if you do want to make it into a pudding, leave out the milk.

Salted Caramel Milkshake

A little bit sweet, a little bit salty. Anything caramel flavoured I am drawn to. In my early 20's I would go through the McDonald's drive thru and ask for a cup of caramel sauce and devour the whole thing in a sitting. Long gone are those days, it's not worth the sugar hangover! If you are a caramel lover, try this homemade milkshake. The combination of dates and cashews make it ultra creamy! Enjoy! Jx

Fat is one of the three basic macronutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates) that your body needs to survive. It has many special roles from providing superior long lasting energy to supporting the development of hormones. Fat is needed for protecting vital organs, it’s also required for assimilating the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Coconut Water Smoothie

Coconut water has many health benefits, one of them being the high content of electrolytes making it the perfect summer or post workout drink to help hydrate you.  Coconut water also contains no fat, as the water is quite sweet I drink coconut water to help with my sugar cravings. I was given a coconut and wasn't quite sure how to open it as all the knives I tried at home would not do the trick.

Why juicing is so beneficial for your health.

The regular consumption of fresh vegetable juice is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your body. By consuming vegetable juice you are giving your body an instant boost of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and nutrients in a form that your body can digest easily. The nutrients from a vegetable juice will enter your bloodstream within 30 minutes of drinking it. Juicing is an easy way to get so many more vegetables into our diet, and to increase the amount of raw food we consume which increases our energy levels, boosts the immune system and helps detoxify the body of toxins (think chemical residue from food, pollutants from the air and cars)
