Tamarillo season is here! Every time Tamarillo season rolls around I look forward to the desserts I can create with this delicious fruit. This tamarillo crumble is sure to be a big hit when served up as an after dinner treat. It is bursting with flavour thanks to the juicy sweet tamarillo filling and the oaty crumble. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!

6 tamarillo's, peeled and thinly sliced
½ cup rolled oats
½ cup butter, melted
½ cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup slithered almonds
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees on fan bake.
Place the tamarillo's into an oven proof dish or individual dishes (similar to what I used).
In a bowl, combine the oats, butter, coconut sugar, flour and cinnamon. Spread over the tamarillo's and sprinkle with the almonds.
Place in the oven and bake for 40 minutes. Serve warm with a side of ice cream or yogurt.
