Peanut Butter Truffles


Peanut butter and chocolate, can you name a better duo? This recipe is for delicious creamy, bite-sized peanut butter balls that are coated with dark chocolate. These little truffles are so irresistible that you won’t be able to stop at one. They are an easy treat to whip up for dessert, only contain 5 ingredients and they require no baking!

8 truffles


1 cup natural peanut butter (try and remove the oil)
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon coconut oil, softened
1/2 cup dark chocolate
Pinch of salt


Line a plate with baking paper.
In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, maple syrup and coconut oil. Using a teaspoon, roll the mixture into balls.
* I have made this recipe a number of times using different brands of peanut butter. Some brands are a lot oilier than others. If your mixture is too wet, place it in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden, and then roll it into balls. 
Place the balls onto the plate and freeze for 20 minutes.
Melt the dark chocolate and dip the balls into the chocolate using a spoon. Place balls onto the plate, sprinkle with salt, and freeze for a further 30 minutes before serving. Store truffles in an airtight container in the freezer.
