Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl
This Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl is creamy, smooth, high in fibre and protein, making it the perfect breakfast, dessert or post-workout snack. There is no denying that a smoothie is great, but I also love to switch it up with a smoothie bowl. Smoothie bowls are perfect for those mornings when your appetite calls for something a little more filling. Plus, there's more room for tasty toppings.
I have topped this one with banana, blueberries, coconut chips, peanut butter and cacao. Other toppings that can be used are granola, chia seeds, nuts, and fresh fruit.
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup ice
1 ripe or frozen banana
1 serving of Two Islands Co. chocolate protein powder
1/2 cup blueberries
1 small banana, sliced
2 tablespoons coconut chips (can use shredded)
1 tablespoon peanut butter (I used Pics Peanut Butter)
1/2 teaspoon cacao powder
Add all the ingredients (apart from the toppings) to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer blended mixture into a large bowl and cover with toppings of choice. Best served cold.
