Cherry & Berry Tart

2 cups almond flour
1 free-range egg
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
2 tablespoons maple syrup
pinch of salt
1 cup coconut yogurt (or yogurt of choice)
½ cup fresh berries
1 cup fresh cherries
2 tablespoons freeze dried raspberries (optional)


Pre heat oven to 180 degrees, fan bake and grease a 9-inch tart tin with removable base with coconut oil.

In a bowl, mix the almond flour, egg, coconut oil, maple and salt until everything is sticking together.

Press the mixture into the tart tin and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is slightly golden. Let the crust cool completely before adding the topping.

Spread the yogurt on the crust evenly and arrange the cherries and berries over the yogurt.

Sprinkle over the freeze dried raspberries. Cut the tart into slices and serve.


    This tart recipe is the perfect way to enjoy fresh cherries and berries of the season.  The crust is made using almond flour and sweetened with maple syrup, making it crisp and sweet, complementing the berries perfectly. Top the crust with coconut yogurt or a yogurt of your choice and cover in fruit.
    Cherries are rich in anti oxidants and contain melatonin which regulates the sleeping pattern. They are also a good source of vitamin A, B, C & E which means a serving of cherries is giving you good dosage of vitamins. Berries also contain anti oxidants, including anthocyanins which give them their vibrant colour and help to reduce inflammation. Berries contain mostly water so they help to prevent water retention and keep the body hydrated.
