Chocolate Dessert Pizza


Pizza and chocolate - two of our favorite foods, and when combined, even better.

The base of this dessert pizza is very rich and chocolatey which compliments the coconut cream layer. Top with your choice of fruit, nuts, seeds, shredded coconut, cinnamon or even drizzle with melted chocolate. This is a creative dessert that can me made in a small amount of time.

It is the perfect way to satisfy a sweet craving.

1 cup almond meal 1 can of full fat coconut milk Pinch of salt 4 tablespoons of cacao powder 1/2 cup of 70% dark chocolate chips 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted 3 medjool dates, finely chopped 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 4 strawberries 1 banana 1 kiwifruit


1. Place the can of full fat coconut milk in the fridge overnight, a layer of cream will form on top. This is used for the top layer of the pizza. 2. Melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil gently on a low heat.  Once melted, add in the vanilla essence and chopped dates. 3. In a separate bowl mix the almond meal, salt and cacao powder together.  Add to the wet mixture and combine ingredients together. 4. Line a tray with baking paper and evenly roll the base mixture out to a circle shape. 5. Refrigerate the base for two hours. 6. Once the base is firm place the top layer of the coconut cream onto the base of the pizza. Top with fruit and refrigerate for an hour before serving.
