One of the most important things about summer is to stay hydrated in the heat. The easiest wat to keep hydrated on hot days is to make healthy juices. Drinking your fruits and vegetables in place of a well-rounded meal but having a juice every day is the perfect way to get your daily intake vitamins and minerals.

One of my favourite vegetables to juice are beetroots. Beetroots are a beautiful vibrant red colour, which comes from betacyanin which is a pigment that helps prevent colon cancer. Beetroot juice is packed with nutrients such as vitamin C, folic acid, amino acids, B-vitamins, mangesium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium, to name a few. Some of the most common benefits of raw beetroot juice include:

  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Improves the digestive health and body's metabolism
  • Aids in liver detoxification
  • Eases constipation
  • High in antioxidants

My recipe for my usual vegetable juice is as followed

1 orange 1 lemon 1 beetroot (3 baby beetroots) 1 apple 1 cube of ginger
